4 Must Weapons To Kill Mold

There are 4 absolutely necessary weapons that every household needs to kill mold.  You might be wondering if mold is a problem in your house.  Let's ask a few questions that will quickly make that assessment.  Is your basement wet?  Has your basement been flooded?  Do you use a basement dehumidifier in the humid months and leave it on?  Have you had leaks that it took you a long time to fix?  Are there any musty smells or black/white/green patches on walls or ceilings?  Does your bathroom ventilate well or does it stay wet really long?  If you answered "yes" to any of these questions, then you have mold.  While all houses have mold, this is referring to mold counts that affect health.
How can mold affect your health?  Mold can cause or trigger asthma, mold allergy flare-up,allergies,  headaches, body aches, cognitive impairment, other respiratory problems, sinus headaches, and more.  Can Mold Destroy Your Health?  Mold affects the health of everyone in your house.  If you are the unlucky one, you can have a biotoxic reaction to mold that can have very serious health implications.
     First weapon in fighting mold:
1.  Basement Dehumidifier:  Run a basement dehumidifier that can lower the humidity to around 50%.  This refers to the capacity of the dehumidifier and size of your basement.  For example, you may need a basement dehumidifier with a 70 quart capacity to prevent mold.  Because basements are below grade, the humidity levels are naturally high.  Mold grows in warm, dark, and damp places. Knowing how mold grows is key to preventing mold. This is a key point to remember.  Basements are the number one place to find mold according to the NIOSH. (National Institute For Occupational Safety and Health). Run dehumidifiers throughout the house as needed.  If you have wet crawl spaces, you need a crawl space dehumidifier.  There are other dehumidifiers designed to meet specific needs such as a room dehumidifier, whole house dehumidifier, and a portable dehumidifier. Use as needed.  Dehumidifiers are necessary to prevent mold in the first place especially in the basement.
2.  Allergy Air Purifiers:  To kill mold in the air, allergy air purifiers are the weapon of choice.  They are 99.97% effective in killing mold, bacteria, germ, viruses and fungi(mold).  Hepa filtration acts to absorb biological contaminants into the hepa filter.  Other components to consider:  ultraviolet air purifiers, negative ion generators, electrostatic air purifiers, and activated carbon filters.  Different But Necessary Components of An Allergy Air Purifiers  Clean the air of not just biological contaminants but also unwanted indoor air pollution which also affects health.
3.  Clean all surfaces with mold removal products.  Once the basement door or any other place with mold opens up, mold spreads throughout the house.  Cleaning all surfaces with either a commercial mold removal product or Borax, will kill mold on surfaces.  This is a key thing to do.  You cannot let mold on surfaces.  It will cause unhealthy reactions
4.  Hepa vacuum all surfaces.  Once all surfaces are wiped down, a quality hepa vacuum needs to be used to suck up all the dead mold spores.  Dead mold spores still cause a reaction so they must be sucked up.  In purchasing a hepa vacuum, make sure that you buy one that will enable you to reach all surfaces including ceilings and walls.Hepa Vacuums To Purchase

It is obvious that all moldy materials need to be pitched as soon as possible.  Start in the basement.  Under no circumstances, should you carpet a basement.  The carpeting cannot stay mold free. The 4 steps above are essentials steps to kill mold, prevent mold and help your family breathe clean air.  Who know how many conditions you are preventing by taking these actions.
The 4 steps are
1.  Run Basement Dehumidifier during humid months.
2.  Use Allergy Air Purifiers Throughout The House
3.  Clean all surfaces with Mold Removal Products
4.  Hepa Vacuum all surfaces.

5 Reasons To Dehumidify Your Basement With A Basement Dehumidifier

Here are 5 reasons why you should dehumidifier your basement with a basement dehumidifier.  They are serious so pay attention as you too will suffer from these affect if you do not.
1.  To kill mold before it has a chance to grow by cutting off humidity.
2.  Basements are below grade and are wet, dark and damp offering mold a perfect places to grow.
3.  Mold grows in the basement on any porous and non- porous surface.  When you open the basement door it spreads through the house.  It is invisible in the air so you won't notice until it starts to smell and stink like mold.
4.  Mold exposure affects the health of everyone in the house.  Some get hit harder then others.  Healthy people feel lousy around mold but recover once out of the mold.  However, if you never leave the house, you are constantly exposed.  Mold triggers:  asthma, allergies, mold allergies, biotoxic reaction to mold which means that the untreated mold patient is constantly struggling with a worsening mold reaction.  This person lacks the immune response to create antibodies to kill mold.  Other problems:  trouble thinking, memory problems, headaches which can be severe, body aches and pains.  To read more check out the home page:  Can Mold Destroy Your Health?
5.  Humidity causes chemical off-gassing.  Sounds really nasty.  Well it is. Pretty much everything you own has chemicals leaching out of those items with high humidity:  carpeting, furniture, make-up, hobby supplies, construction materials, paints, etc.  Some these items contain known carcinogens:  VOCs  Volatile Organic Compounds;  Toluene, Formaldehyde, Radon, the many carcinogens in cigarette smoke, styrene used in making plastic and more.  Just to give you an idea why use of dehumidifiers are necessary especially in the basement.  Air Conditioners also dehumidify the air. However, too many folks turn them off to save money.  http://www.stopmoldcold.com/behealthy
