Stop Mold From Causing Asthma , Pneumonia and Other Health Problems

At this point in the winter when houses are shut up and the heat is cranking, colds, sinus infections, asthma attacks, pneumonia, and cases of the flu are prevalent.  Why are people getting sick?  As soon as you turn of the furnace, mold spores are blown in the air if the system was not cleaned.  HVAC ducts are particularly a place to find mold.  It is important to have a mentality to stop mold.  Now if all the drapes and blinds are closed for the winter, there is no possibility to let sun in.  In the Northeast, that is difficult as there are hardly any days that the sun shines. With the fact that mold can cause and aggravate asthma and all breathing conditions take steps to prevent mold and stop mold from occurring.
Stopping people from getting sick is a high priority.  Children who suffer from asthma can have serious problems very quickly.  Pneumonia is not uncommon in children and adults who suffer from upper respiratory conditions.  Focusing on the fact that mold and indoor air pollution are contributing factors to health especially breathing problems is a call to action..  Lower humidity which also lowers chemical off gassing of all of the chemicals in your house.
To stop mold there are simple steps to consider:
1. Mold loves warm, dark and damp places.  Most mold cases are found in the basement.
2. Dehumidify your basement with a dehumidifier especially in the spring, summer and fall in places  like the Northeast : stop mold by cutting off humidity.  In other places where the humidity is high, the dehumidifier for basement must run all year.
3. Use a HEPA vacuum on all  all surfaces.
Keep your bathroom as dry as quickly as possible.  Check the shower curtain for black stains which is mold and clean.  Use borax mixed with baking soda and dish soap to spray on. Clean all areas with this solution.  While bleach is highly effective, it is not recommended as it aggravates breathing problems. Remember asthmatics and all the breathing problems can be triggered by strong scents like most cleaners.  Borax is effective in killing mold.  If you can leave it on the surface, do it,  there is no reason to rub it off.
Check for leaks on a regular basis.  Snowstorms can cause problems if there is a loose shingle on the roof.  Ice can force its way into your attic and when it warms up it can trickle into the attic .  Leaks anywhere need to be taken care of quickly.  Mold can form 24 to 48 hours after moisture intrusion.
Another tactic that treats both indoor air pollution and mold is using mold air purifiers throughout the house. Use a mold air purifier with hepa filtration which  Mold air purifiers clean. Create fresh air if using a negative ion generator.  Mold air purifiers should be in the home of every asthmatic and every person that has breathing problems.  The air in your house is more polluted than the air outside.  With this in mind, use mold air purifiers to revitalize the air in your home and breathe without a struggle. Hepa filtration kills 99.97% of contaminants including mold.
All respiratory conditions should be treated with the same protocol as mold patients.  Use a dehumidifier for basement in the basement.  Run mold air purifiers through the house to kill mold.  To stop mold from forming on surfaces, use a hepa vacuum.
Keep the air on the cool side.  Open the doors or window anytime you can to leave fresh air in.  Realizing that there are things you can do is vital to having a child or adult free of breathing problems.
By means DO NOT smoke inside the home of any person with a breathing condition.
